PRAVILA / RULES

The Dust Lust courses feature a blend of pavement, dirt roads and gravel roads, the riders should be prepared for rain, loose terrain, mud and variable temperatures.

All riders must pick up their starting numbers on the day of the race by the time scheduled on the route website. All riders must also attend the “riders’ meeting” held at the starting area 15 minutes after the registrations and pick-ups are closed.

Riders must obey all applicable traffic laws during the event and are encouraged to use common sense, keep their head up and stay in their lane of travel. At no time will there be a closed road.

For the first couple of kilometres all riders must ride in a group, following the organisers, after that, the organiser signals the start of the race and you’re on your own.

All riders are required to wear an approved helmet and cannot remove it at any time while riding.

Due to an unpredictable nature of the race, we highly suggest the use of safety bicycle lights.

Riding in a group is allowed, but keep in mind that this is still a race with only one winner, be prepared for anything that might go wrong in case you end up on your own.

Riders should expect vehicle traffic on all roads, along with motorcycles and wild animals. Try to stay in your lane and follow the rules of the road.

Riders must be able to change a flat tire and deal with any other damages that might happen to them or their bikes during the race. Spare tubes, patch kits and appropriate tools are of the essence, as well as a basic first aid kit.

No follow vehicles are allowed. Along the route there are a couple of gas stations, hotels and super markets, which you can use in order to resupply. Nevertheless, try to be as self depended as possible, because you never know what might happen.

Riders must ALWAYS obey traffic laws and strictly obey any law enforcement persons or official ride personnel. In the interest of your own safety, you should always assume the same level of vigilance in riding your bike during the event that you would under normal circumstances.

If a rider decides to end the ride early, he has to inform the organizers via a text message on the mobile phone number that he will receive before the start of the race. This is the only time that riders can communicate with the organizers during the race. In case of emergency; act like you would on a solo ride.

In case of an early end, the organizers are not obliged to arrange a transfer back to the starting point.

The responsibility of keeping on the prescribed course rests with the rider.

Shortcutting and/or cutting trail switchbacks or course is not permitted and may result in disqualification. A rider is required to stay on the designated route. It is the rider’s responsibility to know the designated ride route.

A rider may be disqualified for damaging or destroying public or private property.

A rider may be held liable for all cost associated with the damage or destruction.

Dust Lust organisers reserve the right to make changes to the course, delay start times and/or postpone the event as necessary for safety or security purposes.

Dust Lust organisers are not responsible for any damage that may occur to the competitors or their equipment. Competitors participate in the race at their own risk.

All riders have to forward their gps recordings of the ride in three days time after the event to the organizers. The gps tracks that are received later will not be considered in the overall classifications.

The overall classification is published on the website in a one week time after the event is done.

Complaints about the results are possible in two weeks time after the event is done, upon payment of a deposit of 30eur.

Be kind to your competitors and organisers, have fun and enjoy the ride!

Uporabljajte svoj del cestišča in spoštujte prometne predpise.

Spremljevalna vozila niso dovoljena.

Dust Lust organizatorji si pridržujemo pravico do spremembe trase in časa dogajanja zaradi varnostnih razlogov.

Pritožbe glede rezultatov so mogoče do 14 dni po izvedenem dogodku, ob plačilu kavcije v višini 30eur.

Bodite prijazni do sotekmovalcev in organizatorjev, zabavajte se in uživajte v dirki!
